Pre-Tech /Final Tech Proceedures

Now !! All Sleds/Classes must have working tether switch

PRE-TECH:

  1. Make sure that racer has the “Yellow” entry form filled out with all racer/sled info. Only (1) sled may be entered per form (may enter that sled in more than one class). If racer has more that one sled to enter he Must fill out a “Yellow” sheet for each sled.
  2. Ask racer what classes they plan on running (Stock, Improved, etc.). Verify what “cc” class they are to run in and that the sled will meet class requirements..(Stock, Improved, Modified). Watch for Reeds ,Canister, Pipes, Air Box Mod’s, and any other performance improvements that would bump a sled up to improved stock. Also watch for Ski-doo Rev 500ss that must run in the 600cc class. There are also a few 800’s with 600 decals out there.
  3. Sign the “Yellow” entry form for the classes the sled may run in. This is so that the girls at registration are sure of what classes the racer is allowed to enter. No racer will be allowed to register for a class with-out Pre-tech approval.
  4. For the 3rd section (safety) of the entry form, verify the overall condition of the sled and all safety equipment that is needed for the class they are running. Sarted 2007, All sleds must have working tether switch. Check to make sure all brakes levers have a solid feel to them and seem to be in proper working order. For all Improved and Modified sleds check for proper clutch gaurds and rear tunnel inclosures. The only exceptions are for “Legal Stock” sleds that are bumping up into the Improved class, as long as they meet the Stock class safety requirements they can run Improved. Than you must sign off at the approved entry line on the form.

FINAL-TECH:

  1. All final round sleds must report directly to Tech. We must try to follow race as it is run and make sure that these sleds make it into tech. The girls at registration will not payout any prize money unless the sled number card it signed off by Tech.
  2. If a final round sled in one class is entered in another class, make sure they check in with Tech, that you can send them directly to the staging line for their next class. Just try to keep an eye on the sled to make sure as soon as they are done with that next class we bring them back to Tech..
  3. All final round sleds will have bore checked and stroke if you suspect any modifications. Also I would like to keep the option open for the Stock class to check Head “Squash” measurements to check for any major head cutting.
  4. Make sure to check for any extra gaskets/spacer under cylinders, spacers for reeds, and any air-box modifications, Check for atleast 2” of suspension travel and verify stock suspension in the Stock classes.
  5. May need to spot check with “Scope” for any porting modifications as one feels is needed.
  6. Once you are assured the sleds is “Legal” sign of the entry number that registration had issued to the racer, and inform them they MUST take that to registration in order to receive payout.
  7. If someone wants something check on a certain sled, make sure they are willing to have the same checked on their sled.
  8. If a racer or crew starts to get out of hand they may be disqualified on the spot.
  9. All Tech. members decisions are final no EXCEPTIONS.
