TRAILS CLOSED as of Mon. 2/9/09!!!! - Lee @ 11:14 EDT

Trails are Closed until the Snow returns!!! Please reframe from riding what is left of the snow until we can get the base built back up. The trails were in great shape up to Friday (2/6/09) than everything went south. We can only hope that the snow in the woods might stay around, but I believe the fields will be back to square one by Wed. night.

Update 1/29/09 SNOW, SNOW SNOW 8"-10" - Lee @ 06:39 EDT

Snow, Snow, Snow !!! Arcade area received about 8 to 10 inches of new snow Wednesday into Thursday morning. The snow was badly needed to give the groomers something to work with. The guys will be out now that the wind and the snow has settled down. This is also a welcome site for our drag race. The track already had 6-8 inches of solid base and this will add to that in case of any warm ups before race day. Again this race will be held on a Groomed SNOW track. I have gotten a lot of calls about weather we would be plowing the track, the answer is no. There will be a work day at the track Saturday 1/31/09 to start putting up the snow fence and lights. Stop in and lend a hand and set how the track is shaping up. Riding should be some of the best the area has seen in many years, so get out there and ride…just be safe!

Trail update Sat 1/17/08.....Great conditions - Lee @ 10:25 EDT

Tails are in the best shape of the year! Most now have a base for the groomers to work with. There is about 18” of snow on the ground were the wind didn’t blow it away. There are still a few wind blown areas on the tops of the hills and in the open fields. Water spots should are all gone with this last stretch of cold weather. Groomers were out to cover the system Mon and Tue before the cold set in, and will be out leading up to the Chicken BBQ on Sunday.
